Technically speaking, sildenafil and Viagra are the same drug. One (sildenafil citrate) is just the generic version, while Viagra is a popular name brand of the drug. In fact, in order for sildenafil to be sold as the generic version of Viagra (which first happened in 2017), it must have the same amount of the sildenafil in Viagra, a legal requirement called bioequivalence.

In other words, generic sildenafil and Viagra may contain slightly different ingredient lists, but the active ingredient that actually treats erectile dysfunction and PAH must be equal in both.
