Side Effects
Taking sildenafil with alcohol is not recommended. Combining these two drugs may lead to symptoms such as:
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- headache,
- flushing,
- heart palpitations, and
- fainting.
Interactions
Sildenafil may lower blood pressure. When this drug is combined with alcohol (a chemical depressant containing ethanol), the blood pressure lowering effect may increase. This reaction is considered a moderate drug interaction.
