Entyvio and alcohol interactions may occur, but further research is needed to better understand these risks.

Side Effects

Although interactions between Entyvio (vedolizumab) and alcohol are not known, alcohol usage might cause certain side effects of Entyvio to become worse, such as headaches and nausea. Entyvio is also associated with a possible risk of liver damage. Consuming alcohol might increase this risk in those who are receiving Entyvio injections since alcohol is also processed by the liver. People who consume alcohol can have an increase risk of liver damage as well as other problems.

Individuals with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis should also understand that alcohol can cause symptoms of these diseases to become worse, such as diarrhea, nausea with or without vomiting, and stomach bleeding or intestinal bleeding.

Interactions

Possible interactions between Entyvio and alcohol are unknown. More research is needed on the use of Entyvio and alcohol usage.
