David Sinclair might be 52 years old, but he sure doesn’t look it. In fact, the Australian biologist has been studying why we age and how to slow it down for years.

So, what’s his secret to looking straight out of the Fountain of Youth? We’ve dove into the lengthy list of David Sinclair supplements to find out.

Read on to discover Sinclair’s daily supplement regimen.

David Sinclair’s Supplement Stack

Nicotinamide Mononucleotide

Every morning, David Sinclair takes 1 gram of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN), often mixed in his yogurt. While Sinclair never shares brand names, we recommend Ultra Health Pharmaceutical Grade NMN.

When combined, Nicotinamide Mononucleotide and Resveratrol are said to promote longevity and healthy aging, support cardiovascular health, and increase NAD+ production, which is key to supporting a healthy metabolism.

All of that being said, it’s no wonder why Sinclair takes this supplement daily. We researched several options and this one from Ultra Health was at the top of our list of the best NMN supplements.

David’s Dosage: 1g (1000mg) per day, taken in the morning. Studies have shown that at this dosage over 10 days your NAD levels will rise by 2x.

Vitamin D3

Although David Sinclair has said he aims to get most of his daily vitamins from his diets, he does take a few vitamin supplements as a part of his morning routine, one being vitamin D3.

This vitamin is said to be able to extend lifespan as well as reduce the risk of various aging-related diseases. While it’s unknown what brand of vitamin D Sinclair takes, but we recommended Essential Elements Vitamin D3 (5000IU) or combine your D3 intake with a K2 supplement like this one.

You could also look at a multivitamin for men.

Vitamin K2

Vitamin K2 offers a plethora of benefits including a strengthening of bone health, vascular and mitochondrial health, and an improvement in skin appearance.

Every day, David Sinclair incorporates vitamin K2 into his supplement super stack so he can enhance its benefits within his body. Although he hasn’t mentioned a specific brand, we recommended Live Conscious K2 + D3 as it allows you to get 100mcg of vitamin K2 and 5000IU of vitamin D3 in a single supplement. This particular product topped our list of the best vitamin d3 and k2 supplements.

Resveratrol

Resveratrol is a naturally occurring compound that can be found in peanuts, Japanese knotweed, blueberries, and in the skin of red grapes. Resveratrol contains antioxidants.

Resveratrol is widely available as a dietary supplement made from the extracts of Japanese knotweed, red wine, and grape seeds. It is also one of the main ingredients in Relief Factor, a popular anti-inflammatory supplement.

Sinclair once said of Resveratrol…

“(It’s) as close to a miraculous molecule as you can find…. One hundred years from now, people will maybe be taking these molecules on a daily basis to prevent heart disease, stroke, and cancer.” (source).

Resveratrol Supplement
Resveratrol Capsules

Here is David talking about Resveratrol on the Huberman Lab podcast.

The claimed benefits of Resveratrol are:

  • Promotes youthful gene expression similar to calorie-restricted diets
  • Supports healthy insulin response & mitochondrial function
  • Helps maintain already-healthy glucose levels (source)
  • Supports a healthy inflammatory response & helps inhibit oxidation

This resveratrol supplement contains 600mg of trans-resveratrol per capsule, the suggested dosage is 2 capsules so you’ll be getting 1200mg of Resveratrol per day.

Sinclair recommends taking at least 500mg of resveratrol each morning, preferably accompanied by a source of fat (to improve absorption by up to 5x). Sinclair uses yogurt as his fat source.

David’s Dosage: 1g (1000mg) per day, taken in the morning.

Coenzyme Q10

David Sinclair pairs his daily Statin medication with Coenzyme Q10, as CoQ-10 apparently replenishes what statin medications may deplete. This supplement is said to support cardiovascular health, thus promoting a longer lifespan.

If you plan on incorporating this supplement into your daily diet, we recommend choosing Essential Elements CoQ10 200mg, as it’s made with natural ingredients and has been clinically studied.

Here is our list of the best CoQ10 brands.

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha Lipoic Acid is an antioxidant that can be found in yeast, liver, kidney, spinach, broccoli, and potatoes. While this might be enough for some, David Sinclair boosts his daily Alpha Lipoic Acid intake by taking it as a supplement.

Alpha Lipoic Acid has been shown to prevent nerve pain in people with diabetes, lower total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein in the body, and prevent obesity. For best results, we recommended taking California Gold Nutrition Alpha Lipoic Acid daily.

Metformin

Metformin is a diabetes drug that’s currently being studied for its anti-aging effects. David Sinclair takes 800 mg of this prescription drug at night.

Since Metformin can only be obtained through a prescription, you must first consult with your doctor if you want to add this supplement to your daily routine.

Metformin is recommended for those with type 2 diabetes and should not be taken by anyone over 65 years old.

Here is a link to David and Dr. Andrew Huberman discussing Metformin on his podcast.

Statin

Statin is a prescription drug that is known for its protection against cardiovascular disease. Sinclair has taken this drug since his early 20s, as there is a history of cardiovascular disease within his family.

Statin can lower your cholesterol by blocking a substance your body needs to make cholesterol. As a result, the drug is said to reduce illness and mortality among those who are at high risk of cardiovascular disease.

While this drug may seem appealing to you, it’s required that you talk to a doctor about this supplement in order to get the go-ahead on the prescription.

Aspirin

Every morning, David Sinclair takes 83 mg of Aspirin, and for a good reason. Taking a low dose of Aspirin each morning can reduce inflammation, reduce the risk of heart attacks, and even the risk of cancer.

With David Sinclair’s history of cardiovascular disease in his family, it makes sense as to why he would choose to incorporate this into his daily routine. As for what brand of Aspirin to take, we recommended Life Extension Low Dose Aspirin.
