Medical Director Oncology

CPL Physicians are currently partnered with a Successful, Progressive, Full-service global clinical research organization (CRO) headquartered in Ohio to bring on board a Medical Director for their Oncology portfolio. This organisation provides pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies with a broad range of clinical research services in support of Phase I-IV drug development.
They are seeking a Medical Director to join their highly experienced team providing overall responsibility for Medical, Scientific, and Strategic leadership of Clinical Trials. Joining the organisation as an expert in Oncology you will be involved in the development of new clinical projects serving as a medical resource for the review and interpretation of clinical study reports.

Responsibilities:
Provide Medical Management and leadership for clinical trials
Manage Pharmacovigilance Safety issues in clinical trials working with cross functional teams to assess potential risks associated with the clinical trials
Contribute to medical planning, regulatory documents, study reports and manuscripts
Medical Lead for Oncology providing expert scientific advice
Follow specific research related protocol while leading others in adherence to these policies
Attend proposal and sponsor meetings participating in new business development
Cross functional leadership ensuring all phases of the studies and trials are running smoothly including feasibility assessments, management of medical information and editing of medical documents
Requirements:
M.D. with Board Certification in Oncology and a current Medical License
Prior Clinical Trial experience in an Academic / Research setting
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills
