Propranolol for anxiety can help treat some of the physical symptoms that come with it, like a rapid or fast heartbeat.  


A common dosage is 10 to 20 mg, 30 minutes to one hour before a high anxiety event such as going to the dentist or giving a speech. Always talk to your doctor about personalized dosing instructions, though.
