Bio Complete 3 Review

Bio Complete 3 Review – If you’ve been on the lookout for a supplement with a combination of pro-, pre-, and postbiotics, you’ve probably read a review of Bio Complete 3. This popular supplement claims to treat all sorts of maladies, from metabolic problems to gastrointestinal disorders. But is this supplement everything it’s cracked up to be?

Your gut contains over 70% of the immune system. It serves as the body’s first line of defense against germs and pathogens. But it weakens over time due to bad eating habits, environmental exposure, and even drinking alcohol. As a result, taking care of your stomach is critical to your overall health.

Toxins get trapped in your gut and build up over time. When this happens, supplementation, in addition to a well-balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, can help to ensure good quality of life.

In this review, we take a look at Dr. Gundry’s claims and see whether these pills really do give you everything they say.

Bio Complete 3 (Our Review)

Bio Complete 3 is a daily immune booster that focuses on improving your digestive health.

Dr. Steven Gundry founded Gundry MD with the singular goal of radically improving human health, pleasure, and life through his unique approach to food and nutrition.

There is a whole line of associated products dedicated to supporting the human microbiome – the germs that dwell inside and on our bodies.

Dr. Gundry’s 3 in 1 blend of prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics are aimed at balancing, replenishing, and nourishing the microflora in the digestive tract. This supports a healthy gut lining and boosts immunity.

The company also claims that by supporting gut health, users will experience enhanced weight loss and decreased fatigue, digestive discomfort, and junk food cravings.

Prebiotics

Prebiotics are fibers that the human body is unable to digest. They act as a food source for probiotic bacteria.

They have been shown to maintain a healthy gut, resulting in better digestion and fewer antibiotic-related health issues. They relieve occasional constipation and diarrhea by helping food pass through the gut, improving stool consistency and regularity.

This makes it a particularly attractive option for people struggling with constipation and diarrhea. These symptoms are frequently caused by poor diet and even stress. This can cause a cyclical response, as we tend to get more stressed when we aren’t feeling well, making matters worse.

According to some studies, they aren’t suitable for everyone and can even exacerbate the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. As prebiotic fibers ferment, they release gas which causes bloating, diarrhea, or constipation.

Probiotics

These are strains of bacteria that rebalance your gut’s microbiome. The microbiome is made up of millions of different bacteria species, with each one providing a specific function in digestion. There are actually more cells of foreign bacteria in your gut than cells with your DNA in your whole body.

Because Bio Complete 3 only contains one probiotic bacterium. This makes it less effective than multi-strain probiotics.

Many supplement manufacturers advertise their product as something to be taken daily. However, medical consensus tends to disagree. Most dieticians and doctors argue that probiotic supplements are only effective when combatting symptoms like diarrhea and constipation.

Postbiotics

Postbiotics are essentially probiotic “waste.” Probiotics in the intestine produce postbiotics, which are byproducts of the fermentation process.

In other words, postbiotics are formed as a result of probiotics feeding on prebiotics. Bio Complete 3 gets its postbiotic from tributyrin.

Our body’s butyrate level is determined by post-biotics. The good bacteria create butyrate, which is a short-chain fatty acid. Butyrate has several beneficial benefits on our overall health, one of which is the strengthening of our intestinal lining.

While prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics can all help with digestive health and other symptoms, taking them as supplements is unlikely to solve all of your issues.

These treatments are most effective when they are combined with lifestyle changes, such as eating a healthy diet, avoiding toxins or unnecessary medications, and managing your stress levels.

Bio Complete 3 Ingredients

Sunfiber

Sunfiber is the prebiotic element of your Gundry MD Bio Complete 3.

Sunfiber has similar benefits to other prebiotic sources, but without creating the gas or bloating that some fibers can cause.

Sunfiber is good for anyone who wants to improve their blood glucose control. It lowers post-meal blood sugar increases by limiting blood glucose spikes. Fortunately, you can achieve the same results whether you incorporate it with a meal or consume it with water after.

Sunfiber makes you feel less hungry and more satisfied after you eat. While it won’t immediately reduce belly fat, it does lessen unhealthy eating cravings

Some dietary fibers can prevent macronutrients or important minerals like magnesium and calcium from being absorbed into the body. Sunfiber does not obstruct macronutrient absorption.

One study demonstrated that sunfiber supplementation reduced bloating and gas in people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. However, the participants were taking 6 grams of Sunfiber per day. Bio Complete has only 0.2 grams of fiber in each dose, thus it probably isn’t enough to achieve the same outcomes.

Bacillus Coagulans

Bacillus coagulans or B. coagulans is a probiotic strain that has a high nutritional value and is safe for supplements.

This form of probiotics encourages the formation and reproduction of helpful bacteria over harmful ones, restoring a balanced diversity of microorganisms.

It’s sometimes recommended to take B. coagulans and other probiotic supplements when taking antibiotics to avoid gastrointestinal side effects and yeast infections. This is because the antibiotics neutralize all bacteria, not just the ones making you sick.

Alternative medicine often uses dietary supplements containing Bacillus coagulans to treat symptoms of colitis, Crohn’s disease, and irritable bowel syndrome, as well as to mend the colon lining and prevent leaky gut syndrome.

But again, there’s been no clinical evidence to suggest that this alone is an effective treatment.

Although B coagulans is a good ingredient, it only contains one type of bacteria. Most products of this caliber include a huge number of probiotic bacteria that work together to correct gut microbiome imbalances, so it may not be as effective as it claims.

Tributyrin

After consumption, tributyrin converts to butyric acid, an active metabolite.

Butyric acid and other short-chain fatty acids supply energy to your colon, which is one of its main health benefits. Butyric acid meets roughly 70% of your colon’s total energy requirements.

It supports their capacity to carry out vital biological tasks such as digestion and immunological function.

When you digest dietary fiber, the bacteria in your gut break it down into its component nutrients. This allows your small and large intestine cells to stay healthy. Butyric acid fuels the cells that line your intestines.

Some studies have shown that tributyrin can also reduce obesity and shows promise in treating diseases such as diabetes and colorectal cancer.

However, there is no indication that tributyrin has a favorable effect on the human gut microbiome. This is because much of the research has been conducted in animal and lab settings, not on humans.

In animals given high doses of ethanol, it appears to alleviate oxidative stress, which lowers the risk of cancer.

This indicates the need for more human studies before we can draw a definitive conclusion on whether tributyrin is a healthy addition to a diet or supplement.

Silica

Stomach and digestive tract tissues benefit greatly from Silica. It’s a mineral that helps keep muscles and tissues of the stomach strong.

After these tissues have been damaged by bad food, parasites, aging, or other causes, silica helps to restore and fortify them. It’s extremely effective at eliminating waste, poisons, and heavy metals from the body.

Silica helps to prevent disease and infection because of its positive effect on the skin. Your skin serves as the first line of defense against many infections, so keeping it healthy is paramount.

Magnesium Stearate

Magnesium stearate is a filler commonly found in medicine capsules. It’s known as a “flow agent.” It keeps the capsule’s ingredients from clinging to each other and the equipment, like rice in a salt shaker.

This is an important inclusion as it keeps the ingredients from gumming together and extends the product’s shelf-life

Microcrystalline Cellulose

Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC)  is made up of non-digestible plant debris, such as wood pulp and rigid plant stalks. These plants are cleaned and ground to make a fine, white powder. Its most important role is to operate as a dry binder and direct compression diluent within various health supplements.

The inclusion of MCC in the supplement makes sense, it’s present in many commercial dietary and vitamin pills. However, Dr. Gundry has raised a few eyebrows with many of the unsubstantiated claims for this ingredient.

For instance, the manufacturer advertises that the MCC in their supplement supports weight loss and enhances energy. There is no evidence in medical literature to suggest that MCC has any biological function, its only purpose is to prevent moisture and protect the pills.

Bio Complete 3 Side Effects

Probiotics and prebiotics are typically safe for most healthy people and present no substantial safety concerns.

While the majority of people have no adverse reactions to probiotic supplements, there are mild effects you should be aware of. The most common complaint is a brief increase in gas and bloating.

Although the actual cause of this is still debated, they usually go away after a few weeks of regular use.

Sunfiber is safe, however, excessive amounts can cause abdominal pain and IBS.

Although Dr. Gundry’s website states that the medication has been tested for safety by an independent third-party facility, there is no corresponding seal on the label to back up this claim.

Dosage and Usage

Dr. Gundry MD suggests a daily dose of four capsules, taken twice daily. Bio Complete 3 should be taken regularly for best results.

Bio Complete 3 supplements are best taken in the morning before breakfast and again an hour before a meal, preferably before dinner.

Start with a low dose and gradually increase over a few weeks to lessen the risk of negative effects. This way you can control how you feel and get the dosage right for you.

Remember: everyone’s metabolism is different, so effects may vary. What works for some may not work for everyone else. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see results as quickly as other people, or if you don’t notice any change at all.

Whether these supplements actually do any good is still heavily contested by many in the medical field, so you should exercise caution before buying this or any dietary or vitamin supplement.

“For the past three months, I’ve been using Dr. Gundry’s products. I got started after seeing an ad on Facebook and watching Dr. Gundry’s video. I could tell he was serious and honest because what he said made perfect sense to me. Despite the fact that the goods were a little more expensive than I would normally spend on myself, I decided to give it a shot…

I began to feel better within days, and I have not missed a dosage of BioComplete 3. Prebio Thrive, Lectin Shield, and 24 Strain Probiotic were included simply because I wanted to… There’s a serenity inside my gut that I had forgotten existed. I’m a big fan of Dr. Gundry’s goods.
