Baclofen and alcohol interactions can occur. Talk to your doctor about consuming alcohol before you start treatment with baclofen.

Side Effects

Drinking alcohol while taking baclofen can enhance the side effects of both drugs, including dizziness, sedation, and confusion, according to the FDA.

Interactions

Both alcohol and baclofen are central nervous system depressants, so taking them together doubles the effect of the drugs, leading to twice the side effects like sleepiness and dizziness. It is generally not advisable to consume alcohol during treatment with baclofen.
